Step forward in proper recognition of bias motivated crimes

Training for the improvement of the capacity of police officers was held on 25th of March in Zenica. The goal of education was to present participants with cases of bias motivated crimes that could help them in their future work in prevention and fight against bias motivated crimes.

Education on Hate Crime for Police Officers Continues

In the past two years, Sarajevo Open Centre has organized individual trainings, and participated in the program of permanent education for police officers in the community in order to educate them on hate crimes issues, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton.

“Regarding Susan Sontag” Opens Third Merlinka in Sarajevo

From January 30th until February 1st, Sarajevo Open Centre is organising and hosting the International Festival of Queer Film Merlinka at the Art Cinema Kriterion in Sarajevo. This Festival was organised for the first time six years ago in Belgrade with the goal to promote films tackling LGBT topics.
