Conference Public policies for the equality of LGBTI people in BiH was held the 23rd of May in the Government of Republika Srpska’s Administrative centre in Banja Luka. The conferece was organized by Sarajevo Open Centre and Gender Centre – Centre for gender equity and equality, with the support of Agency for Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Gender Centre of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On Tuesday, 17 May the lectures of the Module 1 (Introduction to feminisms: history, terms, theory) and Module 2 (State, law, equality: de iure and de facto) at this year’s Žarana Papić School of Feminism took place. Sandra Zlotrg, linguist, lector, professor of Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian language, talked about the feminist linguistics. Adnan Kadribašić, lawyer, talked about the institutionalization of gender equality: gender mainstreaming, gender-responsive budgets, as well as about the, so called, positive measures and quotas.
