Sarajevo Open Centre, as the organization that advocates full respect of human rights and social inclusion of LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* and intersex) persons and women, joins this campaign, and will implement a number of activities in November and December of 2016.
Here we publish the unofficial consolidated text of the Anti-discrimination Law of BiH, with the amendments that were adopted in July 2016.
The Chairman of the Committee for Gender Equality of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly (PABiH), Mirsad Isaković, the Committee member, Maja Gasal Vražalica, and Damir Arnaut, member of the Joint Committee for Human Rights talked to the representatives of the Solidarity Network for LGBTI persons of Armenia and Georgia about the cooperation of these committees and the BiH’s highest legislative body with the civil society.
Sarajevo Open Centre and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina will organize 6 lectures in 2016, which will cover the following topics: Antifascist Women’s Front Archive BiH, ideology and language, challenges facing feminism today, digital feminism, the relationship between right wing, and feminism and reproductive rights.
CURE Foundation in 2016 implemented a project entitled “Utilizing the EU integration process for the improvement of LGBT rights in the Western Balkans” with the financial support of Sarajevo Open Centre and State Department of the United States of America.
School of LGBTI activism continues according to schedule. After modules on queer and sexuality, lesbian movement and feminist approach to solidarity and street actions, it was about time to switch to practical and theoretical talks on law regulations and learning about the theoretical and practical aspects of the struggle for freedom, equality and solidarity.
