Different activities were organized in order to mark International Women’s Day in B&H (street activism, media reports, sessions in Parliaments in cooperation with Committees for Gender Equality and civil society organizations, reading of the play SEVEN…).
The reading of the play SEVEN is being organized by the Sarajevo Open Centre and Medica Zenica.
The reading of the play SEVEN will take place on 26 November in the Chamber Theatre 55 Sarajevo at 3 P.M.
The realisation of this event is being supported by the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Swedish Government via the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and Hedda Produktion AB.

Jasna Duraković Hadžiomerović was born in 1978 in Sarajevo. She graduated from the University of Washington in the U.S. and holds PhD in journalism from the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo.
Alma Kratina was born in 1966. She graduated from the Veterinary Faculty in Sarajevo. She specialised in veterinary practice. She founded and chaired the Association “Dalija” in Zenica, founded with the aim of improving the status of women with a low material status, through the projects of empowerment and education.

Sarajevo Open Centre and Medica Zenica announce the scene reading of the revolutionary documentary play SEVEN in Sarajevo.
SEVEN is a revolutionary documentary play based on the interviews with seven women’s rights activists, from all the parts of the world, and whose hard life stories and struggles represent an incredible source of inspiration. The women are: Ferida Azizi (Afganistan), Inez Mccormack (North Ireland), Marina Pisklakova-Parker (Russia), Annabella de Leon (Guatemala), Mukhtar Mai (Pakistan), Mu Sochua (Cambodia) and Hafsat Abiola (Nigeria).
Tanja Miletić Oručević is a director, pedagogue in the field of the scene arts, translator and an activist. She holds MA from the Theatre Academy in Krakow, Poland, and a PhD from the Academy in Brno, Czech Republic
