On Saturday 25 April, from 10am to 16pm, held the lectures in the framework of two modules, which we heard in the first semester of the Feminist School Žarana Papic.
For Sarajevo Open Centre 2015. is a key year for intensive advocacy for trans * people in BiH.
From 22 to 24 May this year in Sarajevo, the first of five three-day modules of the Equality Academy will be held. By launching the Equality Academy, Friedrich Ebert Foundation and Sarajevo Open Centre are trying to make a new platform for political leadership and space for joint action of representatives, leaders of political parties and civil society organizations, and below you can read short biographies of participants of our Academy.
The second lecture within the third round of lectures and feminist discussions Somebody said feminism? addressed cyber feminism, with lecturers being Belma Kučukalić and Valentina Pellizzer (OneWorldPlatform / Web portal zenskaposla.ba). In this lecture titled 50 shades cyber feminism: Feminist principles of the Internet, Valentina and Belma explained how important the presence of girls and women is in ICT, referring to specific cases that show how the internet can be a place of freedom, but also of oppression.

The lecture entitled “50 shades Cyber Feminism – Feminist Principles of the Internet” was held today at the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts in Sarajevo.
Initiative for monitoring of European integration of BiH, which is coordinated by Sarajevo Open Centre, is an informal coalition of civil society organizations that will, by the end of May, publish Alternative report on the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2015.
Sarajevo Open Centre has made its contribution to this report by submitting all the relevant data on hate crimes on the ground of sexual orientation and gender identity documented in 2014 as well as other relevant information concerning regulation and combat against hate crime.
