Lecture and discussion: Women without faces – How feminism did not recognize women with disabilities?

Sarajevo Open Centre, in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Foundation, continues with lectures within the third cycle of lectures and feminist discussions Someone said feminism? The fourth lecture, titled Women without faces – How feminism did not recognize women with disabilities? will be held on Friday, June 26 this year at the Museum of Literature and Theatre Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting from 6 pm. The lecturer will be Tanja Mandić Đokić, with whom we will discuss about how the society created a prototype of what a woman should be in which women with disabilities are not included.

Trainings: Towards an Efficient Judicial Protection against Discrimination of Marginalized Groups in BiH

Heinrich Böll Stiftung, Office in BiH, and Sarajevo Open Centre, with the support of Centre for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of RS (CEST RS), in the period from May 18 to May 19, 2015 in Istočno Sarajevo, have organized a training for 14 judges and prosecutors. Also, in the period from May 20 to May 21 2015, with the support of Centre for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of FBiH (CEST FBiH) in Sarajevo, a training for 28 judges and prosecutors on the same topic: Anti-discrimination Law, combating discrimination of minority groups, the experience of BiH and experiences from the region, was organized.

BiH Parliament: The Special Report on the State of the Rights of LGBT People in BiH

BiH Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees will begin the process of introducing the legislative amendments to the BiH Law on Prohibition of Discrimination, and that the Institution of Ombudsman for Human Rights in BiH should draw a special report on the protection of rights of LGBT people and deliver it to the competent bodies, including PSBiH.
