On the initiative of Sarajevo Open Centre the working meeting named „To improvement of Gender Equality in Canton Sarajevo?“ was held on Tuesday 5th of April 2016. Members of the Club of Women Representatives of Canton Sarajevo’s Assembly and representatives of civil society organizations, Sarajevo Open Centre, Women to Women and CURE Foundation, were present at the meeting.

During the meeting the most important and the most actual issues related to gender equality were discussed. We also discussed how we are going to improve cooperation between the Club of Women Representatives of Canton Sarajevo’s Assembly and civil society organisations.

In the following period we are planning to intensify our cooperation. The Club of Women Representatives of the Canton Sarajevo’s Assembly will work on its Operative plan with our help. Club will also demand from the Government of Canton Sarajevo to establish institutional mechanism which will implement the Gender Equality Law and Gender Action Plan in Canton Sarajevo.

The message of this meeting is that gender equality must be a priority.
