One of these trainings, titled “Medical aspects of gender reassignment: Regarding adequate, trans-specific and inclusive services and support for trans persons in the process of transition,” was held mid-January. As stated by Delila Hasanbegović from SOC, the training was aimed at doctors, endocrine specialists from public health institutions – clinical centres, hospitals and professional associations, from Sarajevo, Tuzla, Goražde, Banjaluka and Mostar.

We invite all interested lesbians, gay, bisexual, transgender and inter-sex (LGBTI) individuals to apply for participation in a live library education that will be held as part of the training of police officers and officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton on 24 and 25 June 2019.
Having in mind the expansion of violence and hate crimes against LGBTI persons, we consider the education of police officers on human rights of LGBTI persons to be crucial. Police officers, at the end of the training, emphasised that it contributed much to their better understanding of the issues LGBTI persons face in BH society.
Sarajevo Open Centre and the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Centre of FBiH will organise a two-day training for judges and prosecutors in FBiH.
