Meet the Participants of the Fifth Generation of the Equality Academy
Following the successfully implemented programs of the Equality Academy, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Sarajevo Open Center in 2019 are organising the fifth generation of the Equality Academy – a platform for political leadership and the joint action of deputies, leaders of political parties and civil society organizations.
This year’s Equality Academy is intended for advocates, deputies at state and entity levels, cantonal assemblies, advisers of leaders of political parties and ministers at the state, entity and cantonal levels, and members of the leading party bodies of parliamentary political parties in B&H, who are interested in strengthening their own capacities and working on identifying and implementing concrete solutions which will improve gender equality, and the position of the disadvantaged groups in B&H society.
The Equality Academy aims to strengthen the capacity of political leaders in the field of gender equality and equality policies of the disadvantaged groups in B&H in order to promote the rights of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to strengthen cooperation between decisions makers with representatives of civil society organizations in B&H.
The Equality Academy 2019 consists of three modules, which will be held from March to May 2019. Below you can read the short biographies of the participants of the Equality Academy 2019.
Aida Baručija (Zenica) – representative of the Independent Block in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H.
Aldijana Birdžo (Sarajevo) – DF’s councilor of the Municipal Council of Hadžići.
Alisa Hajdarović (Mostar) – representative of the SDA in the Assembly of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, a delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of B&H and the President of the Cantonal Board of the Association of Women of the SDA Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
Amila Hodžić (Živinice) – representative of the SDP in the Assembly of Tuzla Canton and President of the Municipal Committee of SDP Živinice.
Amira Aganović (Sarajevo) – trade union commissioner at the school “Avdo Smajlović” and member of the Cantonal Board of trade unions of educational workers.
Ana Konta (Livno) – Member of the DF Presidency, Head of the DF Cantonal Committee in Canton 10 and Member of the Youth Affairs Committee of the DF Political Academy.
Andrea Dorić (Banja Luka) – Member of the Socialist Party in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and member of the Committee on Equal Opportunities of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
Azra Okić (Tuzla) – representative of the SDP in the Assembly of Tuzla Canton and a Vicepresident of the SDP’s Main Comitee.
Bernada Jukić – Kličić (Bosanski Petrovac) – representative of the SDA in the Cantonal Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton, President of the Association of Women of the Municipal Board of SDA Bosanski Petrovac.
Daliborka Kotorić (Doboj) – political activist employed in the Centre for Kids and Youth with Disibilities Doboj.
Dinka Hajrić (Sarajevo) – expert associate of the Government Office of the Federation of B&H for European Integration.
Dženana Hodžić (Sarajevo) – an independent representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Federation of B&H, Deputy President of the Club of Independent Representatives.
Hamid Salihagić (Sarajevo) – Member of the Municipal Board of SBB of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.
Ivanka Marković (Banja Luka) – SDS’s deputy in the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska and Deputy Chairman of the Equal Opportunities Committee of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
Ladina Kolenda (Sarajevo) – Secretary of the Cantonal Board of the Youth Forum SDP Sarajevo.
Mara Milošević (Modriča) – Member of the SNSD in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and member of the Equal Opportunities Committee of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
Mevlida Bandić (Sarajevo) – DF’s councilor in the Municipal Council of Hadžići.
Mijo Perkunić (Pelagićevo) – Member of Zajedno za BiH in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and President of the Equal Opportunities Committee of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
Mirela Memić (Lukavac) – representative of the SDP in the Assembly of Tuzla Canton.
Mirjana Marinković – Lepić (Tuzla) – Representative of Naša stranka in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H.
Omar Memišević (Breza) – member of the SBB, president of the Commission for Youth and Gender Equality of the Municipality of Breza.
Orjena Vuković – Secretary of the Equal Opportunities Committee of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
Sanela Dumanjić (Sarajevo) – Member of the SBB Main Board and President of the Forum of Women of the Municipal Board of SBB of the Municipality of Centar, Sarajevo.
Saudin Sivro (Sarajevo) – representative of B&H on behalf of of all education unions in the Standing Committee for Equality in ETUC in Brussels.
Sedmedin Amiđić (Kakanj) – representative of DF in the Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
Senaid Begić (Zenica) – Representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Federation of BiH, member of the SDP’s Main Committee, President of the Cantonal Committee of the SDP of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and a member of the SDP Presidency.
Suzana Krišto (Busovača) – representative of the HDZ B&H in the Assembly of Central Bosnia Canton.
