Canton Sarajevo Assembly must comply with the Gender Equality Law!

Sarajevo Open Centre, INFOHOUSE and CURE Foundation, tomorrow, on 27 February 2015 at 11.30 am, are organizing the press conference in front of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton where they will try to hand-deliver the request for compliance with the Gender Equality Law when appointing the Ministers, to the Chairman of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, which was also submitted in writing yesterday.

Adequate response to bias motivated crimes through education for apprentices

As a part of the project „Fighting Hate Crime in BiH“, financed by Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of The Netherlands to the OSCE in Vienna and implemented by Sarajevo Open Centre in partnership with OSCE Mission in BiH, education was held for apprentices of prosecutor’s offices and courts on the subject of bias motivated crimes.

Lecture and discussion: Cosmo-politics: dietary feminism of women’s magazines

Sarajevo Open Centre, in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Foundation, shortly before International Women’s Day, opens the third cycle of Somebody said feminism? with lectures and feminist discussions titled Cosmo-politics: dietary feminism of women’s magazines which will be held on Thursday 05 March at the Museum of Literature and Theatre Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting from 6pm. The lecturer will be Nenad Veličković.

Public call for application to the Žarana Papić School of Feminism in 2015

Sarajevo Open Centre, starting from 2015, will continue women’s studies program “Žarana Papić“. This program was launched in 1998 by the Association Žene ženama as a first interdisciplinary study program about women in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Žarana Papić School of Feminism is two-semester academic-activist educational program.
