Representatives of BiH Civil Society Initative for UPR, an informal coalition coordinated by Sarajevo Open Centre, participated last month at a panel within the pre-session wich is the part of third UPR (Universal Periodic Review) cycle, where they talked about the implementation of the recommendations of the previous UPR cycle and the current human rights situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We made recommendations for improvement of human rights in BiH and we expect of the UN Member States to make these recommendations to Bosnia and Herzegovina within the UPR process.

In the process of advocating for permanent missions to the UN for the best recommendations to our country in the field of human rights, representatives of civil society organizations used factsheets outlining basic recommendations for taking measures to improve the human rights situation in BiH, up to which they came by Shadow Report for the 3rd Universal Periodic Review on the state of human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina
