Sarajevo Open Centre and Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2017 organise 6 lectures in the scope of the fifth cycle of Somebody said feminism?!, whose topics will be related to rural life, pornography, poverty, music, cyber revenge and trans* women.

We invite you to the lecture within the cycle Somebody said Feminism?, the topic being Cyber Violence and Feminism, and the lecturer being Amina Beriša. We will discuss a wide range of cyber violence expressions in the context of vulnerable groups, particularly women and girls, in the whole area of ICT. We will talk about how unrealistic the virtual world is when data show that eight out of ten women have experienced and experience daily violence in the digital environment.
About the lecturer:
Amina Beriša – Liora is the postgraduate candidate of Security and Peace Studies at the Faculty of Political Science. She has long-standing social engagement on issues of women’s human rights, violence prevention, and Internet rights and freedoms. She is currently engaged at the Institute for Social Research of the Faculty of Political Science – Department of Information Security.
