Opening of the exhibition – „STAND UP WOMAN!“– Europeanization & Emancipation: A Case of Nafija Sarajlić – Themes and Reminiscences

Last night in the Museum of Literature and Theatre, exhibition „STAND UP WOMAN! “– Europeanization & Emancipation: A Case of Nafija Sarajlić – Themes and Reminiscences was held with regard to the International Women’s Day. Who is Nafija Sarajlić? Why are we interested in her work and biography? How this author was marginalized in the literature life of Bosnia and Herzegovina? How she ended up as a canonical writer as a consequence of appropriation of women’s creative work? How patriarchate actually functions, in home, in work and in literature? Author of the exhibition is Zlatan Delić and coauthors are Ifeta Lihić and Amina Hujdur. Design of the exhibition and cathalogue was done by Dejan Slavuljica. The exhibition will be opened until 18th of March 2017 and the doors are open every day except Sunday from 10AM to 7PM.
Realisation of the research and production of the exhibition about Nafija Sarajlić was financially supported by Sarajevo Open Centre and Swedish government through Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
