Call for Application: LGBT Human Rights School for students of law faculties in BiH
LGBT Human Rights School aims to introduce LGBT rights to students of law faculties in BiH, future lawyers, by using the language of the legal profession. The school program consists of theoretical lectures and practical examples through which students will be guided by international and local experts involved in the protection of human rights.
Lecturers of LGBT Human Rights School will be from BiH and the region, and they have years of experience in academic, political, and social work. School will last three days and will be held in Sarajevo, and it will cover the following topics: LGBT terminology; European, regional and national legal framework for the protection of LGBT human rights; Discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity; Case-studies; Experiences from the region; Hate crime; Hate speech.
The School is organized by Sarajevo Open Centre in collaboration with partner organization Banjalučko Udruženje Kvir Aktivista (B.U.K.A.) – Banja Luka Association of Queer Activist, and financially supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway.
The lectures will be held in B/C/S languages.
