Forum on Gender Equality and Security in BiH, 10-11 June 2013
The third Information Sharing Forum on Gender and Security in BiH will take place in Sarajevo on the 10th and 11th of June 2013. The Forum is traditionally organized by NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, Gender Equality Agency and Project office of UN Women in BiH. This year one of the organizers is Sarajevo Open Centre, with the financial support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway.
The topic of this year’s Forum is the preparation of the new BH Action Plan for the implementation of the UN Resolution 1325 – “Women, Peace and Security”.
Representatives of the BH institutions, international organizations and civil society organizations from all parts of BiH, who will, through their presentations and joint discussion present their work on the implementation of the BH Action Plan for the implementation of the UN resolution 1325 in the period from its adoption in 2010 until today as well as their understanding of the priorities that Action Plan should be focused on in the next five years. The participants will discuss about the compatibility of the priorities of government, civil society and international community and about coordination of the future actions on the implementations of the Action Plan.
