On April 13, Sarajevo hosted a training for family medicine specialists from Sarajevo and Tuzla Cantons on the medical aspects of transgender healthcare.

The lecturers were experts in trans-specific medical care from Croatia: Erin Vlahović from the organization kolekTIRV, Iva Žegura, MD, MSc in clinical psychology and Prof. Tina Dušek, MD, PhD in internal medicine with subspecializations in endocrinology and diabetology.

We will continue with primary healthcare education in the coming period because it is the first step and the first place where trans people go for support and further referral, and family medicine physicians help them through the transition process.
