Invitation to the Conference on the „Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on the State of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina“
Sarajevo Open Centre invites you to a conference on the „Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on the State of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina“, which will be held on February 5, 2021 (Friday) beginning at 10.00h at Hotel Courtyard by Marriott in Sarajevo, Skenderija 1.
The conference will be held in two simultaneous panels which will have focus on the UPR cycle and its importance for the enhancement of human rights in BiH, institutional response and the role of the civil society in implementation of the Universal Periodic Review.
The event is organized following the current epidemiological measures. Simultaneous interpretation for Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and English will be provided.
The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on the state of human rights is a unique mechanism of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council focused on the enhancement of human rights in all UN member states by gathering relevant information from member states, information which gathers the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as information from other relevant stakeholders such as civil society organizations.
