Darija Buzaković was born in Banja Luka in 1977. She studied Serbian language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka.

In 2006, she finalized her one-year-long academic and professional specialisation for TV and film production at the Maryland University, USA. She has been working in media for the past fifteen years. She is the Director of International Film Festival Kratkofil Plus since it was founded in 2007. She is working in the redaction of the RTRS’s film program.
