The lecture series \u201cSomebody Said Feminism?\u201d will be closed with a panel discussion on the theme \u201cFeminism and (In)formal Education.\u201d Introductory speakers will be Dr. Zlatiborka Popov Mom\u010dinovi\u0107, MA in gender studies Nermina Trbonja, and MA in gender studies Aida Spahi\u0107.<\/p>
About the panel<\/i>: While feminist theory and the feminist movement was enswathed, it became obvious that education is presupposition for women to present their abilities and to become more independent, as well as to more equally participate in the political life, meaning the creation of political subjects and political power. Instead of becoming a empowerment tool and a basis of further political enactment of women, education becomes a way of reproduction of the existing patriarchal discourse of power.<\/p>
Can education become a place of its de(con)struction? Can education in any way let (in) the voice of feminism? Is there a place for feminism<\/i> in classrooms?
