The rich program of the festival will include, among other things, a play, an exhibition, concerts, films, talks, and a drag show.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Slogan Bujrum slobode! (Welcome, take some freedom!)<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> in today&#8217;s context <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">we<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> place <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the responsibility that freedom carries<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, at the same time<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> questioning the paths that lead to it.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Freedom is won and nurtured, and through the artistic and activist events of Kvirhana, we will think about and enjoy freedom in different formats, so join us because we have something to offer this year as well.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The festival will be opened at SARTR at 19:30 with the <strong>play &#8220;Our Son&#8221;<\/strong> by Patrik Lazi\u0107, produced by the Hartefakt Fund from Serbia, which has already achieved notable success on regional visits. After the young man drives himself to his parents, they try to live <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">with the knowledge<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that their son is different. The rituals of the family dinner become a big dramatic twist.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The daily program of the second day of the festival starts at 2 p.m. at the Novo Sarajevo Children and Youth Center <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> reserved<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> for socializing and getting to know each other through the Mingling session, after which there will be screenings of two domestic short films. The <strong>short film &#8220;Jan&#8221;<\/strong> by Kenan Musi\u0107 and Mirza \u010custovi\u0107 is the first ever short film from the region available on the HBO Max platform<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, and it<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> talks about friendship and love, the search for a place where there is no need to label instincts, and a film that challenges the recognition of love in all its forms. The <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">film<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> <strong>&#8220;Tomorrow We Will Buy Fish&#8221;<\/strong> by Sara Risti\u0107 follows the teenage girl Asja <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">who<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, after<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> 5 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">years, meets her older sister Amina <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">whom<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> she has not seen since Amina <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was thrown<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> out of the house.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After the film screening, there will be a discussion about queer (LGBTI+) visual creativity in which the authors of the films, the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">main<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> actor from the film Jan, Maksim Jovanovi\u0107, and the photographer Monika <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Andri\u0107<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> will participate. Her photo exhibition <strong>&#8220;Differences from which we <\/strong><\/span><strong>are woven<\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong> &#8211; an insight into LGBTIQ+ lives&#8221;<\/strong> will open at the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">same<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> location at 7 p.m. The exhibition of intimate portraits and documentary photographs explores the everyday life situations of LGBTQ+ people and how their differences <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are integrated<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> into the wider society.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The music program on the second day of the festival will be held in Kino Bosna and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">will <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">be<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> opened<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> by a <strong>drag show<\/strong> by four drag artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina. After that, the young Sarajevo duo <strong>Bluzze<\/strong> will perform, and then <strong>Marko Bo\u0161njak<\/strong>, the &#8220;nightingale&#8221; from Prozor-Rama, who conquered the audience as a boy when he won at &#8220;Pink&#8217;s Stars<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> and then with his performance at the Croatian Dora. The concert will also <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">be held<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> by the famous Croatian musician and presenter <strong>Ida Prester and the pop band Lollobrigida<\/strong>, and the night will be closed by the Croatian electro duo <strong>Cura i De\u010dko<\/strong>, a dynamic explosion of emotions and dance that fills club spaces and breaks stereotypes.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On Saturday, the last day of the festival, at the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">same<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> location of the Novo Sarajevo Center for Children and Youth, there will be a <strong>queer FANZINE workshop<\/strong>: Joint writing of the manifesto for the first edition of the queer fanzine.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The rest of the day&#8217;s program <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is focused<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on <strong>Queer Talks<\/strong>, conversations on various topics important to feminism and LGBTIQ activism, and the arts. Nina Pavi\u0107evi\u0107, the person behind the popular feminist Instagram profile Kriti\u010dki, will also participate in the event.<\/span><\/p> <p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The festival will close the music program, which starts at 9:30 p.m. in Kino Bosna, with a performance by the alternative\/post-rock indie band <strong>Foster<\/strong> from Split. After that, <strong>Oli Pop<\/strong> (Olivera Popovi\u0107), a singer-songwriter of alternative pop music from Serbia, will perform, and then <strong>Macha Ravel,<\/strong> a trap-rap musician from Bosnia and Herzegovina, formerly known as Muha, who had her first live performance at the Kvirhana festival in 2021. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">With the release of<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> her first synth-pop <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">single<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> &#8220;Traume<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> she confirmed her well-deserved position on the Balkan alternative pop scene. The biggest stars of the festival are certainly the alternative pop project <strong>Svemirko<\/strong>, which became famous in the territory of the former Yugoslavia with the album Vanilija.
