{"id":17915,"date":"2019-02-20T10:00:52","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T10:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/soc.ba\/?p=17915"},"modified":"2019-02-20T10:00:52","modified_gmt":"2019-02-20T10:00:52","slug":"pubic-call-for-the-enrolment-of-the-fifth-generation-of-students-in-the-zarana-papic-school-of-feminism-in-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soc.ba\/en\/pubic-call-for-the-enrolment-of-the-fifth-generation-of-students-in-the-zarana-papic-school-of-feminism-in-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Pubic Call For the Enrolment of the Fifth Generation of Students in the \u017darana Papi\u0107 School of Feminism in 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/soc.ba\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/logo-300x176.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>Sarajevo Open Centre<\/strong><\/p> <p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Announces<\/strong><\/p> <p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>THE PUBLIC CALL<\/strong><\/p> <p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>For the enrolment of the fifth generation<\/strong><\/p> <p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>of students in the \u017darana Papi\u0107 School of Feminism in 2019<\/strong><\/p> <p>&nbsp;<\/p> <p><em>Through the \u017darana Papi\u0107 School of Feminism, the Sarajevo Open Centre has, since 2015, continued the Women&#8217;s Studies Programme \u201e\u017darana Papi\u0107\u201c, that was launched and led by the Association \u017dene \u017eenama in 1998, as the first study programme about women in Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/em><\/p> <p><strong>About the School:<\/strong> This year, the \u017darana Papi\u0107 School of Feminism offers the academic-activist educational programme, with the aim to provide the students with the feminist education about the practices, theories and concepts needed for the professional and critical public work and activism in the national, international governmental and nongovernmental organisations, through the three theoretical-practical modules. The School consists of three obligatory theoretical-practical modules that the students will be attending from April to June.<\/p> <p><strong>The lecturers and modules<\/strong>: The teaching Staff is made of professors in various scientific fields, activists, and the representatives of the institutions. The first module is called <strong>Introduction to feminism: history, terms, theory<\/strong>, the second module is called <strong>The state, law and equality<\/strong>, while the third module is <strong>Feminist economics<\/strong>.<\/p> <p><strong>The application process:<\/strong> Every adult person who lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is interested in gaining new knowledge and developing critical thinking that can help them in creating social changes through the advocacy activities, activism or through different science and art work, can apply for the school. Everyone is welcome: students of humanities, social sciences, technical sciences, natural sciences or the arts, as well as all those who do not study. We also welcome the persons who have business careers, who work in private or public sector, in the civil society organisations, or who do not work at all.<\/p> <p>In order to apply for the school, you need to send a CV and a letter of motivation (in the form of an essay, length up to 200 words) attached. It is expected from the candidates that they are highly motivated for the School and that they have a good and active knowledge of the Bosnian\/Croatian\/Serbian and the English language. Everyone who gets short-listed will be invited to the interview that will take place during mid-March.<\/p> <p><strong>Lectures:<\/strong> The lectures will be held in Bosnian\/Croatian\/Serbian language, from April to June (10 weeks), once a week (Saturday) for four hours, from 10 PM to 02 AM. It is expected that the students attend min. 75% of all the classes. In the scope of every module, the students will have reading assignments \u2013 reading of the texts and preparing or the lectures. The classes will take place at the premises of the Sarajevo Open Centre, address: \u010cekalu\u0161a 16, Sarajevo.<\/p> <p>All students of the School who satisfy the attendance criteria will get the certificate of participation at the end of the School, and the most interested participants will be invited to work with the Sarajevo Open Centre and other organizations on advocating for the topics related to the women\u2019s human rights, minorities and marginalized groups in BiH.<\/p> <p>The deadline for the application: 8 March 2019<\/p> <p>The applications should be sent to <a href=\"mailto:jasmina@soc.ba\">jasmina@soc.ba<\/a>.
