{"id":10185,"date":"2015-10-29T09:43:46","date_gmt":"2015-10-29T09:43:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/soc.ba\/?p=10185"},"modified":"2015-10-29T09:43:46","modified_gmt":"2015-10-29T09:43:46","slug":"overview-of-the-lectures-at-the-zarana-papic-school-of-feminism-24-october-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soc.ba\/en\/overview-of-the-lectures-at-the-zarana-papic-school-of-feminism-24-october-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Overview of the lectures at the \u017darana Papi\u0107 School of Feminism: 24 October 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/soc.ba\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/DSC_0365-300x167.jpg\" alt=\"????????????????????????????????????\" \/>On Saturday, <strong>24\/10\/2015<\/strong> the lectures of <strong>Module 3<\/strong> (<em>Culture and Ideology<\/em>) and of <strong>Module 4<\/strong> (<em>Feminist ethical and political theory<\/em>) took place, and were led by <strong>Neboj\u0161a Jovanovi\u0107<\/strong>, who holds a PhD in gender studies, and <strong>Amila \u017ddralovi\u0107<\/strong>, MA of sociological sciences and teaching assistant at the University of Sarajevo Law Faculty. The second meeting of the <strong>advocacy-activism seminary<\/strong> that is led by <strong>Tijana Cvjeti\u0107anin<\/strong> also took place.<\/p> <p>The second meeting in the scope of the advocacy-activist seminar was dedicated to the planning of the action for the improvement of the state and financing of the safe houses for women victims of domestic violence in Bosnia and Herzegovina that will be realised during December this year.<\/p> <p>Amila \u017ddralovi\u0107, talking about the subject of <em>Feminist critique(s) of Habermas\u2019 ethics<\/em> presented <strong>Habermas\u2019 theory of the communicative action<\/strong> and the <strong>model of deliberative democracy<\/strong>. During the second part of the lecture, she reviewed the Habermas\u2019 theory in the works by Sheyla Benhabib. The third part of the lecture was based upon the disputable issues in Habermas\u2019 theory of communicative action (the distinction between the private and public sphere, the problem of homogenisation of the public sphere, the ethics of discourse vs. the ethics of context).<\/p> <p>Neboj\u0161a Jovanovi\u0107 dedicated his lecture (<em>The Backbone Marxist meanders<\/em>) to reviewing the relation between Marx and the so called Marxist vulgata, or the later interpretations of the Marxist theories and conceptualisations of ideology, in the context of the analysis of the text by Stuart Hall \u201cThe problem of ideology: Marxism without guarantees\u201c.<\/p> <p>More about the content of the lectures is available in the B\/C\/S language.<\/p> <p>On Saturday, <strong>7 November<\/strong> the lectures start at 12 P.M. In the scope of the <strong>Module 4<\/strong>, Damir Banovi\u0107 will speak, in the context of identity politics, about the relation(s) between gender, identity and sexuality.
