Dear representatives of the media,

We invite you to the press conference of Sarajevo Open Centre that will take place on Tuesday, 16 May 2017 at 11 A.M. at the square in front of the Parliament of Federation BiH, where we will present the main findings from the Pink Report 2017 – the Annual Report on the state of Human Rights of LGBTI persons in BiH, that gives an overview of the state of human rights of LGBTI persons for the period from January 2016 to April 2017.

On the press conference, we will present the positive and negative practices that marked 2016 and the start of 2017, and provide the answers to these questions: Has there been any progress during 2016 and the start of 2017 in protecting and respecting the human rights of LGBTI persons? What are the most common practices of LGBTI human rights violations in BiH? What is the institutions’ response to these violations? How have the laws and public policies that aim at improving the equality of LGBTI persons in BiH been implemented? How have we entered 2017 and on what issues should we work in order to achieve a higher level of equality for LGBTI citizens in BiH?
