Call for Info Session: Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on the State of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Sarajevo Open Centre invites you to an info session on the „Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on the State of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina“, which will be held on January 24, 2019 (Thursday) beginning at 11.00h at Hotel Europe in Sarajevo, Vladislava Skarića 5.

At this info session we will present the UPR cycle and its importance for the enhancement of human rights, activities conducted by BiH institutions as part of this cycle, as well as activities of civil society organizations who take part in the UPR cycle.

Please find enclosed the agenda of the info session, and note that simultaneous interpretation for Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and English will be provided.

The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on the state of human rights is a unique mechanism of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council focused on the enhancement of human rights in all UN member states by gathering relevant information from member states, information which gathers the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as information from other relevant stakeholders such as civil society organizations.
